Numen is a demo for Atari 8-bit computers.
We recommend watching it on a real Atari computer. If you are happy to own one, grab a disk image from the download section. If you don't mind degraded quality of audio and video (for example artifical flickering), here is a YouTube recording:
Numen is less than 200 kilobytes and calculates all the effects real-time. Of course, 8-bit computers don't provide any support for 3d, they are thousands times slower than your machine and have just a small fraction of memory you are using now for browsing this page.
