# info

We called our demo "NUMEN". This is a Latin word and it means something like a genius or a creating force. We think this name fits very well with contents of the demo. And finally, for all non Atari-familiar persons we bring some infos on... how to get emulator working (in order to run our demo "NUMEN"):
  1. Download Atari800Win emulator and packed roms' file
  2. Depack emulator into separate folder.
  3. You will obtain several subfolders. Copy rom files (*.rom) from separated zip file that you have downloaded, into "Rom" subfolder of emulator.
  4. Start the emulator and begin setting it up:
  1. go to "Atari/ROM images..." and click "Search" button. Now locate "Rom" subfolder in your HDD by choosing this subfolder from shown HDD-tree. It could be, for example following location: "D:\emu-test\Atari800WinPLus30\Rom" Confirm your choice by clicking "OK".
  2. make sure that there is a mark on the "XL/XE" inscription in "Atari/Machine type" submenu
  3. also check if "Atari/Video system" is set to "PAL" because our demo runs correctly only under this television system.
  4. now go to "Atari/Memory size" and change it to "320 kB (Compy)" or "320 kB (Rambo)". This is how much memory our demo needs at least.
  5. in addition, you can change screen size to get a better look (if you have fast computer). To do this, simply go to "View/Graphics options..." and change current setting to 672x480, which I personally recommend!
Now go to "File/Autoboot Image" and look for NUMEN.ATR in your HDD. Then click "OK" button. Our work should begin loading... Enjoy it !!!

Note: for emulator needs, we strongly recommed using one-file version of "NUMEN". Of course you can also use another version but you will have to "change disk" during loading (to do this, just press Alt+N if only these two ATR images are placed together on your HDD).
